North Korean leader Kim Jong Un asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for help dealing with President Trump — pleading for a hand in resolving Pyongyang’s nuclear stalemate with the US, according to a report.

보도에 따르면, 북한의 김정은은 블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령을 찾아 미국과의 핵협상이 교착상태에 있는것에 대해 해결을 요청했습니다.

The two heads of state met in a historic summit Thursday that lasted more than three hours on a university campus in the Russian city of Vladivostok. “Chairman Kim Jong Un himself asked us to inform the American side about his position,” Putin told reporters.

두 정상은 목요일, 블라디보스토크의 한 대학교 캠퍼스에서 만나 3시간이 넘는 역사적인 회담을 가졌습니다.푸틴 대통령은 기자들과의 만나에서 "김정은 위원장은 자신의 입장을 미국측에 대신 전해달라고 요청했다"라고 말했습니다.

“There are no secrets here. We will discuss this with the Americans and our Chinese partners.”

"숨길 것은 없다. 미국 및 파트너인 중국과 이 문제를 논의 할 것"이라고 말했습니다.

Russia had extended an invitation to the North Korean leader nearly a year ago, but Kim only agreed to come when his second summit with Trump broke down in February with no agreements to relieve UN sanctions, according to Fortune magazine. North Korea has since groused that several intermediaries — including US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and the South Korean government — aren’t adequately conveying his message to Trump.

한 매체에 따르면, 러시아는 이미 1년전 북한 지도자(김정은)에 대한 초청을 연장했지만 그러나 김정은은 2월 하노이 정상회담에서 UN제재 완화에 대한 아무런 합의을 못내었을 때에만 방문을 하기로 합의했었습니다. 이후, 북한은 미국 국무부장관 폼페이오를 비롯해 대한민국 정부까지 여러매체를 통해 자신의 메세지를 제재로 전달하지 못하고 있다고 비난하고 있습니다.

“I had candid and meaningful talks with Putin on developing friendly relations between North Korea and Russia,” Kim said at a reception with the Russian leader. Putin’s role allows him to remain plugged into a security dispute involving mostly the US and China.

김정은은 러시아 지도와의 만찬에서 "푸틴 러시아 대통령과 북-러의 우호관계에 대해 솔직한 대화를 나눴다"라고 말했습니다. 푸틴의 역할은 그(김정은)가 미국과 중국이 관련된 안보문제에 계속 연계하도록 유지하고있습니다.

It was Kim’s first meeting with Putin since the North Korean came to power in 2011.

2011년 김정은이 북한의 최고지도가로 임면된 이후 푸틴 대통령을 만난 것은 처음입니다.

An expert told Fortune that the meeting between the two leaders only went through because the summit with Trump unraveled.

한 전문가는 "트럼프 대통령과의 정산회담이 이루어졌기때문에 두 정상의 만남이 성사되었을 뿐"이라고 전했습니다.

“If the Hanoi summit had gone well, North Korea would not have needed to visit Russia,” said Kim Sung-han, dean of Korea University’s Graduate School of International Studies in Seoul, who formerly served as a vice minister at the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

이에 앞서 고려대학원장이자 외교부 차관을 지낸 김성한 원장은 "만약 하노이 회담이 잘 이루어졌다면 북한은 러시아를 방문할 필요가 없었다"라고 말했습니다.

Kim Jong Un said in a parliament speech earlier this month that he’s OK with meeting with Trump again — provided that the US gives him acceptable terms for a deal by the end of the year. 

김정은은 이번달 초에 열린 의회 연설에서 "미국에 만약 올해 안에 받아들일 협상조건을 들고온다면 다시 한번 트럼프와 만날수있다"라고 말언하기도 했습니다.
